New opportunities for disabled skiers: Crystal Adaptive

Hot off the heels of Team GB's Paralympics successes, Crystal Ski, the UK's no.1 ski tour operator, has announced an innovative selection of 2012-13 season 'Crystal Adaptive' packages: winter sport holidays designed specifically for disabled skiers and snowboarders.

Crystal Ski are the UK's largest ski tour operator, with 28 years of experience in getting guests to the best powder, every single winter. Already a leader in green ski holidays - Crystal has been providing Carbon Neutral flights since 2003 - they are now pioneering new accessibility packages designed to help disabled skiers and snowboarders get the most from their winter holiday to the pistes.

Speaking at the launch of Crystal Adaptive last year, Simon Cross, Managing Director of Crystal Ski said: "Our Crystal Adaptive programme is mainly aimed at independent minded people who have been on group trips before, but we also cater for beginner skiers. We offer the whole package to make sure disabled skiers can enjoy a fully accessible and enjoyable ski holiday."

As part of this programme, Crystal Ski are working with Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK) - one of the UK's leading disabled skier and snowboard charities - to help provide them with the necessary expertise to answer any queries regarding specialist disabled equipment hire, resort facilities or ski tuition. In return, Crystal Ski has helped raise thousands of pounds for the charity, enabling them to buy vital equipment and provide support for disabled skiers and snowboarders. Through a number of specially selected packages from their Crystal Ski Holidays 2013 portfolio, they're also helping to achieve DSUK's vision of providing disabled snow sport fans equal opportunity at all ski facilities and resorts.

Crystal Adaptive have selected a range of resorts and accommodation across Europe and North America for their 2013 season. Packages include flights, transfers and accommodation as standard. Highlights include:

Winter Park, USA
