Selfridge's

Selfridge's Oxford Street, W1
Marble Arch

Occupying an entire city block, the massive and impressive Selfridge's department store was built in 1908 by American businessman, Harry Gordon Selfridge. An accent to the Ionic-columned exterior of the building is the clock above the main entrance, supported by a sculpture of "The Queen of Time." Selfridge's is different than Harrods in its approach but is well worth a visit all the same.
