Plymouth

What began as a little fishing town called Sutton, at the end of the River Ply, is today a harbour city dominated by its history. Its harbour is still called Sutton Harbour and it is from its shelter that Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh, Captain Cook (1772), Darwin and oh, yes, the Pilgrim Fathers (1620) sailed off to adventure and fame. As you would expect, the city caters to tourist with historic interest with museums and relics of its earlier days.
