National Railway Museum
In Station Road

The World's biggest railway museum, on the edge of the city, houses an amazing collection of giant steam engines, historic locomotives and interactive displays. The vast exhibition halls have something for all the family. Meet Queen Victoria on board her Royal train, take a trip on the miniature railway or ride a Steam Train on the museum's demonstration line.

There are restaurants, picnic and kids' play areas, an interactive learning and conference centre. A widely varied programme of special events also runs throughout the year. Learn above trains from Stephenson's Rocket to the latest Eurostar train and have fun at the same time.
