Newquay - Cornwall
Continuing southwest, along the coastal road B 3276, we soon reach Newquay, one of the most popular resorts in the southwest due to its sandy beach, with good bathing and surfing, surrounded by tall, cave-riddled cliffs. A reminder of the days of the huge pilchard industry (which supplied vitamin and mineral rich food for sailors of the Royal Navy) is the lookout known as the "huer's hut." This is the surfing center of Cornwall.
Next stop: Perranporth and St.Agnes
