England's West Country Somerset, Devon & Cornwall
From bustling Bristol to the quiet lanes of Devon, from the rugged coasts of Celtic Cornwall to the oh so-very English apple orchards of Somerset, the Southwest of England has a flavor all its own, and a distinct accent to match. It was from here that many of its sailors went around the globe from such ports as Bristol and Plymouth; many of its miners took their skills overseas in their search for gold, or tin or coal; it is a land of legend, of Kings Arthur and Mark, of lovers Tristan and Iseult; a land of craggy cliffs, high moorlands, and secluded, wooded valleys; it is a land that in many areas, is conscious of, and proud of, its Celtic past.
