Colwyn Bay and Rhos on Sea

Firmly attached to the much larger resort town of Colwyn Bay is tiny Rhos on Sea. There was a Cistercian Monastery here, but now a modern hotel and entertainment center occupie the site. The town is most famous for its tiny stone St. Trillo's (St. Trithlo 's chapel, measuring about 11ft by 8ft and holding about eight adults.

Colwyn Bay has many attractions for the visitor, not the least is its Welsh Mountain Zoo, home to many birds of prey and other exotic wildlife; its three-mile long promenade, theatres, and Eirias Park. Another favorite visitors' spot is the surprising Christ Church, known as the cathedral on the hill, at the head of a delightful walk up the valley at Bryn y Maen (Brinne uh Mine).
