Bassingthorpe Manor HouseDay 4 - Bassingthorpe.
Bassingthorpe Manor House can be seen, close to, from the churchyard of the church of St. Thomas. What we see is the remaining part of a much larger house. It is dated 1568 and was built for Thomas Coney. It has interesting stepped gables, fine chimneystacks and an upper oriel window. It makes an impressive sight.
