Melton Mowbray

Day 4 - Leaving Belvoir we travelled to Melton Mowbray.

Melton Mowbray is another market town named after the Mowbray family who were Lords of the Manor from the 12th century. The late 13th century church of St. Mary is Leicestershire's most noble and impressive church with its 100ft tower.

The oldest house in the town is the 14th century 'Anne of Cleves House' built of stone.
