THE
KINGS of SURREY
The name of Surrey actually means
"South-Kingdom," that is south of the
Thames. It has been suggested that either
Middlesex or a Kingdom based on Buckinghamshire
may have been the opposing
"North-Kingdom" or Norrey. The name of
only one of these Mercian Sub-Kings is known.
