Muscovado Sugar is very dark brown to black colored, unrefined sugar obtained by evaporation of cane sugar and draining off the molasses. Typically, its sugar crystals are enveloped in a thick coat of molasses and loaded with the richness of nutrients and minerals. It has a nutty, caramel flavor, natural moistness, and bitter molasses aroma.
