I have found that this recipe comes quite close to the taste of Clotted Cream although the only true clotted cream is Devonshire Cream, made in Devonshire (of course). |
1 cup Heavy cream (room temp)
1/3 cup Sour cream (room temp)
1 tbs Confectioner's sugar
Prepare about an hour before serving.
Pour heavy cream into a bowl and whip until there are soft peaks.
Whisk in the sour cream and the sugar.
Beat until mixture is very thick
Place in the refrigerator and chill until serving.
