I have found that this recipe comes quite close to the taste of Clotted Cream although the only true clotted cream is Devonshire Cream, made in Devonshire (of course).
Clotted Cream
Ingredients
1 cup Heavy cream (room temp)
1/3 cup Sour cream (room temp)
1 tbs Confectioner's sugar
Method
Prepare about an hour before serving.
Pour heavy cream into a bowl and whip until there are soft peaks.
Whisk in the sour cream and the sugar.
Beat until mixture is very thick
Place in the refrigerator and chill until serving.
