Brent Knoll Castle, Somerset
There is no masonry on this 450-ft hill, rising in solitary splendor from the flat lands that surround it on all sides. Many legends connected with King Arthur are centered here. It can be reached by a half-mile walk from East Brent churchyard.
Hours: Open all year round.
