Meliaw, King of Brittany
(born c.470)
(Welsh-Melio, Latin-Melius, English-Mel)
Maeliaw, the eldest son of King Budic I, was a good monarch who ruled wisely and justly in the late 5th century. His younger brother, Rivod,
however, was quite different and the two often argued about what was right and what wrong. One day,
their argument became so heated that Rivod struck out at Maeliaw and killed him!
