(born c.452)

(Welsh-Dywel, Latin-Duvalaunus, English-Donald)

The son of King Erbin of Dumnonia. Like his brother, King Gerren, Dywel was a warrior at the Court of the High-King Arthur. He appears in the Mabinogion Tale of Culhwch and Olwen. He helped the King Gwrthefyr of Dyfed repel an invasion by King Maelgwn of Gwynedd, but was killed at the Battle of Caeo in Ystrad Tywi.
