Dungarth, King of Dumnonia
(born c.835)
(Welsh-Dyngad, Latin-Doncatus, English-Duncan)
Presumably a descendant of the early 8th century King Gerren. He was the last King of Dumnonia and, traditionally, held court at Lis-Cerruyt (Liskeard). He drowned during a hunting expedition in 876. Part of his memorial cross, the Doniert Stone, can be seen at St. Cleer.
