Deroch II, Prince of Domnonée
(c.AD 495-530)
(Welsh-Deroch,
Latin-Darocus, English-Derek)
Not much is known about Prince Deroch
II, son of Riwal Mawr
Marchou of Domnonée.
He was certainly a patron of
the Domnonian Church and, in the early 6th century, he gave land at Lan
Pabu to his cousin, St.
Tugdual, in order to found an extensive monastery. He was succeeded by
his son, Prince
Jonas.
