Cynfyn,
King of Ergyng
(Died c.AD 615)

(Latin-Conbinus, English-Convin)

Little is recorded of the reign of Cynfyn ap Peibio, though there are indications that his rule may have been a joint one, along with his brother Gwyddgi. He does feature in a couple of the Llandaff Charters. His name appears in a land grant to Bishop Aeddan and also in a charter associated with Bishop Elwystl. Cynfyn had at least one son, Gwrgan, but upon his death, around AD 615, the throne was seized by a usurper named Gwrfoddw.
