Tiberius Claudius Nero Germanicus (10 BC-54 AD)
Claudius, emperor of Rome from 41-54 AD, finished the job of subjugating the people of Britain which had been begun by Julius Caesar nearly a century before. He led the invasion of Britain in 43 AD and achieved the surrender of the city of Colchester along with the submission of eleven British kings.
